🔨Create a Portfolio

The portfolio dashboard page lets you create and manage your own simulated investment portfolio — powered by AI.

🧱 Set Up a New Portfolio

When you open the Create Portfolio dialog, you’ll see a simple form with three sections:

🧾 Basic Info

  • Portfolio Name — what you want to call it

  • Description — optional notes about your investment strategy

📊 Investment Settings

  • Tickers — select up to 10 stocks (e.g. AAPL, TSLA, NVDA)

  • Trading Days — choose which weekdays the AI should trade (Mon–Fri)

  • Allocation Per Ticker — assign percentages to each stock (1–100%)

  • Leverage — multiply your buying power (1×–5×)

  • Enable/Disable — toggle whether the portfolio is active

The form validates everything — checking for valid tickers, avoiding duplicates, and warning if your allocations exceed 100%.

💰 Cost & Credits

Creating a portfolio costs 15 credits from your account. Your current credit balance is shown at the bottom of the form. If you don’t have enough, you’ll get a friendly warning before submitting.

⚙️ Smart Validation

As you fill out the form, StockNotes guides you with inline tips — showing real-time validation and advice like:

“Total allocation exceeds 100% — please adjust.” “Ticker TSLA already added.” “Low balance — add more credits to continue.”

💡 Why It’s Useful

Once created, your AI portfolio trades automatically based on your parameters — using the same data and agent pipeline that powers your stock analyses. It’s a simple way to visualize performance, test strategies, and learn from simulated trading without risk.
